Product Description
GRANITO FLOOR is special leveling compound with high performance for abrasion resistant flooring.

Areas of Usage
• Shows high performance indoors and outdoors with GRANITO CILA,
• in hospitals, shopping centers, schools, offices, showrooms, rest rooms and areas where rubber-wheeled vehicles are in use
• For levelling and smoothing new or existing concrete, marble, and ceramic substrates,
• Over old polished or stamped concrete surfaces with GRANITO ASTAR
• Abrasion-resistant floors on concrete, old terrazzo, ceramic tiles and natural stones.
• Terrazzo, inside homes, offices, shops, museums, theatres and exhibition halis when used in combination with natural aggregates.

Application lnstructions
The surface should be sound, free of dust, dry, clean and strong enough to support the weight. Any oil, grease, rust, gypsum, wax, paint residues, loose particles on the surface should be removed. The joints, cracks ete. should be repaired priorto the application.
Apply special compressible band around the perimeter of the rooms to be laid and around any vertical elements which pass through the floor (such as pillars and columns.

Concrete and/or ceramic or natural stone surfaces must be prepared by shot-blasting or milling and primed with GRANITO ASTAR and , where required, reinforced with Glass fiber mesh. After application, leave GRANITO ASTAR to dry for 2 - 3 hours, according to the surrounding temperature.

Mixing: Pour the content ofa 20 kg bag of GRANITO FLOOR into a container with 5,5 to 6,0 liter of clean water and continue mixing with a low-speed electric mixer until a smooth, flowable , lump-free mix is formed (at least 3 minutes). Let it stand for 2-3 minutes and before applying, remix the blend fora few minutes (at least 3 minutes). Only prepare the amount of GRANITO FLOOR which will be applied within 15 minutes ata temperature of +23°C. The pot life of the mix varies according to the temperature and reduces as the temperature increases. lf GRANITO FLOOR is to be applied on medium to large-sized surfaces, larger quantities may be prepared using a vertical-shaft mixer. lf it is mixed using mechanical means, the amount of water required is the same as when mixing by hand. Mix the product until the blend is completely homogenous before laying.

Application Method: Spread GRANITO FLOOR by hand or with a mechanical means in a single layer of 3 to 10 mm and a smoother fora natural finish, or ata thickness between 3-10 mm if the floor is to be polished. Make sure that the material is cast in a regular, continuous flow without interruptions, to avoid defects in flatness and particularly visible differences in color. Thanks to its self-levelling properties, GRANITO FLOOR eliminates all imperfections left bythe smoother.

When applying the product, respect the expansion joints in the substrate and form distribution joints at least every 50 m2 . Seal joints with TEKNOPOLIDERZ ı K single component, thixotropic polyurethane sealant and adhesive with a low modulus of elasticity for sealing expansion and distribution joints. Dry-polishing with a diamond-tipped grinder may be carried out ı day after applying the mix. The
surface obtained will be completely smooth and shiny, which reflects light, very similar to natural stone such as granite.
Complete the polishing operations using the remaining tools and then finish off the surface by applying GRANITO CILA

Application Notes / Restrictions
• Do not add more waterto the mix once GRANITO FLOOR starts to set.
• Do not add lime, cement, gypsum or other binders to the GRANITO FLOOR mix.
• Do not spread GRANITO FLOOR on unprimed surfaces.
• Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on substrates which are subject to rising damp (consult the TEKNO YAPI Technical SeNices Department).
• Do not use GRANITO FLOOR for floating screeds. GRANITO FLOOR must always be fixed to a solid, compact substrate.
• Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on wet surfaces.
• Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on metallic surfaces.
• Do not use GRANITO FLOOR at temperatures lower than + 10 °C or higherthan +35°C.
• The colors of floors made using GRANITO FLOOR are not always uniform, a typical feature of cement-based products. Apart from the inherent nature ofthis kinci of product, differences in the various colors may also be caused by the way the product is applied. Also, it must be cast continuously without long pauses, in orderto guarantee perfect flatness.
